This Thanksgiving Day we want to say “Thank You” in a very personal way. We’d like to share our heart with you.

As much as we need and appreciate your financial support to do the ministry God has called us to it’s not our only concern regarding your donation. We want to pay attention to our motivation. We desire to say as Paul said to his good friends at the church in Philippi who consistently, time and again, supported his ministry… “Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.” (Phil. 4:17)

We want you to know that we recognize that you are entrusting your financial kingdom investments with us. We want to make good use of your gifts so that your account in heaven is growing in principal and interest. We believe that when a follower of Jesus gives to a kingdom ministry he or she is also laying up treasures in heaven. In this letter to his very dear friends Paul is saying that he is focusing on their accounts in God’s Kingdom. We want you to be Rich in Heavenly Rewards. Our commitment to you will be to keep that truth in mind every time you send us a donation.  

Thank you for your financial and prayer support over these past four years.  

One last thought… I think it’s interesting to note that kingdom financial support is the context for a promise which Paul directed specifically to his donors… “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:19).  

Our Thanksgiving Prayer for you: “God, thank you for your faithfulness to fulfill this promise, not just to Paul’s donors but to Deed & Truth donors who are investing in your Kingdom. May we be given wisdom and discernment to use these gifts in ways that will reflect your kingdom and glory here in Skid Row and also build their accounts in heaven."
