You will want to be a part of this… This Saturday, hear from Pastor Ed Robinson, who came Straight Outta Compton from a very broken background to become a very successful leader in the corporate world and now Pastor of a church in his own home town.

Our second, in a series of three, Racial Reconciliation Interviews will be held this Saturday, July 11th from 9-10am. We will be interviewing Pastor Ed Robinson to hear his story and insights into building unity in diversity.

Ed Robinson is the Pastor of the Hope In Christ Community Church in Compton, CA. He has served as Pastor at Hope In Christ for nearly nine years. Additionally, he is a 33-year retiree of Southern California Edison (SCE). While at SCE, he worked in several key leadership roles, including in Local Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, Equal Opportunity, Customer Service, as a Loaned Executive to the City of Compton. He also served as a former member of the SCE speakers’ bureau and frequently represents the company in media interviews.

An award-winning former host and producer of a local weekly cable TV program, Robinson regularly conducted interviews with business, education, clergy, political, and everyday citizen leaders on a variety of subjects for community enhancement. He was nominated by cable TV executives for the coveted ACE award for his live reporting of the 1992 civil unrest in Los Angeles.

Robinson is affiliated with numerous organizations, including the Negotiation and Conflict Management Alumni Association of California State University at Dominguez Hills, the Southern California Leadership Network, Toastmasters International, and the County of Los Angeles Commission on Human Relations Corporate Advisory Committee where he formerly served as chair. Also, he is an avid runner and has completed four Los Angeles Marathons (2004, 2005, 2008, and 2009), five Long Beach Half-Marathons, and the 2009 Pasadena Inaugural Half-Marathon.

proud product of Compton, Robinson received a Bachelor’s of Science in public administration from the University of La Verne and is an honors graduate of California State University at Dominguez Hills, where he earned a Master of Arts in behavioral science. He has also completed executive-level courses at the Anderson School at UCLA, and the MIT-Harvard Public Disputes Program. Robinson completed several courses as a seminary student at Talbot Seminary on the campus of Biola University, and Gateway Seminary in Ontario, CA.
